How Sky met the Thunder: Season 1

The rain fell upon the quiet grass, splashing around and creating puddles everywhere. The clouds, with no intention of stopping, continued to pour their fountain of tears onto the ground. They knew no right, they knew no wrong, all they knew was that the sky was sad and they must come to her rescue. The sky lay cold and gray, waiting for her lover: the thunder.

When the thunder was yet to come into her life, she was a blue wonder. She’d known only sunshine and brightness, but then he came along, and everything that ever meant anything to her was weak compared to what Thunder was. He struck a chord in her innocent heart and gave her life a new horizon. Was it good? Who knew? Sky only knew she wanted thunder to be her’s forever.

The sky never knew the gravity of the moment when it arose. The splendid sun was nowhere to be found, and the clouds wore a sad tinge of white. The sky was scared and the ground shook with her. The thunder was on its way. A flash of bright light came and lit the sky up. She had never seen herself glow in the midst of the darkness. And then finally he came; the Thunder, roaring like a lion. Such was his stature that he made the animals down on earth cry out in fear. Anything for her attention. Sky, as was the custom, fell in love with the wild thunder. The twinkling stars hid away, leaving none but the sky and thunder eye to eye. The clouds melted at their rendezvous, while the Sky shined with Thunder by her side.

But the rendezvous was short-lived. The thunder faded away quickly and left the sky all by herself once more. What could the thunder do? It was only in his nature to come and pass by. But the sky, oh the poor sky, she lay where she was, unable to do a single thing about the parting. The stars sat by her side, all joining in her sadness, and blinking away their tears. The clouds cried with her, and the ground was wet with her sorrow. She could no longer keep it in, and she cried, cried, and cried for she could no longer see her beloved thunder. But then she smiled and she rejoiced because, for a single second, they shared a moment of togetherness, where the thunder was completely hers, and the sky his.
